CAMP SATURNINO DUMLAO, Nueva Vizcaya-Policemen, who were earlier reported engaged in the selling of illegally cut lumber, have been cleared of any wrongdoing, the provincial police director said.
Senior Supt. Jesus Manubay, Nueva Vizcaya police director, said no sanctions were imposed against members of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Group after an investigation failed to prove that the policemen were engaged in illegal logging.
The Inquirer earlier reported that some 2nd PMG policemen, based in the upland village of Pelaway in Alfonso Castaneda town, tolerated the trade and transport of illegally cut narra from the lower Casecnan watershed area.
