England get away with a small fine.

UEFA handed out fines to the Football Associations of England and Turkey last night as punishment for the players' fracas that marred the Euro 2004 qualifier in Istanbul.

Players from both sides clashed in the players' tunnel as they made their way to the dressing rooms.

But UEFA, having studied video footage of the incident, decided that no player from either side should face disciplinary action.

The English FA were fined GBP4,400 while their Turkish counterparts were given a GBP13,300 fine.

The bad-tempered game finished goalless meaning England finished top of Group Seven and qualified automatically …
