But yesterday Prince Charles's regal life dramatically collided with a bitter struggle to survive.

Shaking and crying, the distraught woman known only as Suman ignored royal etiquette and clutched the Prince of Wales by the hand to make a desperate plea for help.

Living in squalid and dangerous conditions on the streets of India, she broke down and begged the Prince to help the homeless women of Delhi.

"Please help so the other women do not end up on the streets," she said. …
