KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 30 (Bernama) -- The annual growth rate of tourist arrivals to Malaysia is expected to remain at 6.9 per cent, the same as that targeted for 2001-2002, for the remaining period of the Eighth Malaysian Plan until 2005.

According to the mid-term review of the Eighth Malaysia Plan released by the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister's Department today, for the first eight months of 2001, there was a significant growth in tourist arrivals with the number exceeding one million for each month.
