WTC mediation

BOTH sides in the World Trade Center insurance dispute have agreed the case should go to mediation. Judge John Martin will serve as mediator in the dispute between WTC leaseholder Larry Silverstein and the insurers of the twin towers, led by Swiss Re, over whether the terrorist attack in September 2001 was one event or two. Both sides welcomed the recommendation of US District Judge Michael Mukasey in a pre-trial hearing, as he aimed to resolve the matter before the scheduled February trial. Talks are set to begin next week and can continue up until the trial date.
