Willington MAN of the match Jordan Roberts netted a double hat trick - six goals - for Willington Under-11s in their 13-0 victory at home to Shildon in the second round of the Russell Foster League Cup, the pick of his goals a 20-yard free kick into the top corner.

There was a hat trick for Matthew Proud, the other goals coming from Stephen Vayro (2), Alex Hird and Craig Elliott.

Man of the match Ryan Young scored a hat trick for Willington Under-15s, 7-1 winners away to Jarrow YMCA in another second round league cup tie. Adam Nicholls (2), Harry Drummond (pen) and Joe Fairish were the other Willington scorers.

Willington Under-16s lost 4-2 at home to newly promoted Sunderland Westland on their return to league action. Willington went behind early on and trailed 3-1 at half time. They pulled it back to 3-2 in the second half only to concede a fourth goal as they were pressing for the equaliser towards the end.
