Team ordered to investigate funds in two months

The Nairobi City Council has been placed under investigation.

Ordering the Efficiency Monitoring Unit to move in, Local Government minister Karisa Maitha asked the team to investigate the council's financial and administrative management systems in two months.

The team is headed by EMU director Erastus Rweria.

A special issue of the Kenya Gazette dated October 24 and signed by Mr Maitha mandates the team to conduct "an extraordinary inspection of the accounts and records and to conduct investigations, researches and inquiries into the general …
