Penn State. This young team has taken its lumps. But watch out. QB Michael Robinson will continue to improve, and the defense will buck up as it gains experience. That means Ohio State (November 1) and Michigan State (November 22) are on upset alert.

Memphis. QB Danny Wimprine and RB DeAngelo Williams lead an exciting offense that could ruin league championship hopes for Louisville (November 15) and bowl dreams for Cincinnati (November 22) and South Florida (November 29).

Western Michigan. Toledo plays host to Northern Illinois on November 15 and goes to Bowling Green on November 28. In between? Western Michigan and a dangerous offense led by QB Chad Munson and WR Kendrick Mosley.

San Diego State. The Aztecs have been maddeningly inconsistent, but the rough edges could be smoothed out in time for season-ending games against UNLV (November 8), Colorado State (November 15) and Air Force (November 22).
