World number 23 Elena Bovina of Russia will be the top seed in the Volvo Women's Open in Pattaya next month.

The tournament, which will be held at Dusit Resort, Pattaya from Nov 1-9, is the last stop for the WTA Tour.

As an added interest, Russia's Anna Kournikova will play an exhibition match with Thai star Tamarine Tanasugarn on the final day of the competition.

Top-seeded Bovina recently reached the semi-final of the Porsche Grand Prix and among the players she defeated were world No 4 Lindsay Davenport of the US and …
