Motorway service operator Moto is bringing in night-time security patrols for trucks parked at its busiest sites. This follows requests from drivers who have voiced concerns about the risk of overnight attacks. In order to fund the additional security, however, parking charges are rising from [pounds sterling]11 to [pounds sterling]12.50 for up to 24 hours, including a [pounds sterling]6 meal voucher. Sites affected include Birch, Chieveley, Cherwell Valley, Stafford, Leigh Delamere, Reading, Woolley Edge, Hilton Park and Frankley. Parking charges at Moto's other sites remain unchanged.
