PRESIDENT Olusegun Obasanjo says the seeming delay in granting autonomy to Nigerian universities is as a result of the Federal Government's decision to consult widely with all the stakeholders before coming out with a policy statement. He stated this yesterday in Benin City in an address delivered on his behalf by the Minister of Education, Prof. Fabian Osuji, at the 29th convocation ceremony of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin City.
