THE Senate has mandated its Foreign Affairs Committee to investigate the nature of agreements entered into between Nigeria and the United States or any other country over the jurisdiction and operations of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The Senate gave the committee headed by Senator Jubril Aminu two weeks to submit a report encapsulating recommendations to it for consideration and necessary legislative action.

The Upper Legislative Chamber, in debating the motion on the matter brought before it by Senator Sanusi Daggash (Borno North) and seconded by Senator Ibikunle Amosu (Ogun), resolved that the Federal Government should brief it on the bilateral non-surrender agreement signed with the United States or any other …
