India vindicated by US claims that gangster Dawood in Pakistan: Advani.

Indian Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani said that India was vindicated by US claims that Dawood Ibrahim, who heads India's list of most wanted criminals, is in Pakistan.

The US Treasury Department Thursday branded Ibrahim a "specially designated global terrorist."

According to a notice posted on the its website, Ibrahim lives in Pakistan's southern Pakistani city of Karachi. The notice gives his telephone and passport numbers.

Islamabad has long denied Indian claims that the gangster is on Pakistani soil.
