Seoul, 20 October: Dozens of bereaved families of UN troops who were killed during the Korean War half a century ago will visit South Korea this week to pay tribute to the war dead, the military authority said on Monday [20 October].

A total of 32 bereaved families are to make a six-day trip to South Korea from Tuesday to visit the UN Memorial Cemetery in the southeastern port city of Pusan, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs said.

It is the first time the South Korean government has invited the families of deceased UN forces, though since 1975 it has invited UN war veterans of the 1950-53 …
