The court-appointed receiver of Francisco Motor Corp. has recommended to the rehabilitation court the suspension of Ford Group Philippines' assembly of its Ford Ranger pickup trucks. Francisco Motor, the local licensee of Mazda pickups since 1973, has lost its market to the Ford Ranger, which is an almost exact copy of Mazda pickups.

Rehabilitation receiver Carlito J. De Jesus, in a report last month to rehabilitation court judge Jose F. Caoibes, Jr. of the Las Pinas regional trial court, said there was enough evidence of damage incurred by Francisco Motor. He also ruled as valid …
