NEW YORK, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Valley has been selected as the Sports Illustrated 50th Anniversary Sportstown for the state of Kansas. The announcement was made today by SI and the National Recreation and Park Association.

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED Vice President/General Manager Oliver Knowlton and NRPA Trustee Mike Jurkovich will present the award during a ceremony at halftime of the Blue Valley High School vs. Blue Valley West High School football game on Friday, October 17. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. and will take place at Blue Valley High School.
