INSURERS and lawyers in the UK have reached an agreement in a bid to stem the escalating costs of legal fees for motor accident claims.

The Civil Justice Council (CJC) has announced an agreement to end disputes with solicitors over legal costs in road accident claims involving conditional fee arrangements, which will see solicitors paid a set percentage of the awards should they win the case.
