HRW urges reinstatement of Chadian activist in World Bank agency.

Dakar, Senegal (PANA) - New York-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) Tuesday called for the immediate reinstatement of Souleymane Guengueng, a Chadian torture victim and award-winning human rights activist, fired from his position with the World Bank-backed Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC).

The Commission apparently took the measure in reprisal for his campaign to bring to justice the former dictator of Chad, Hissene Habre, HRW said in a release.
