Instituto Cervantes, the cultural arm of the embassy of Spain, unveiled its cultural calendar for the month of October. Dubbed as -Fiesta! - Spanish Festival for Culture and the Arts, the event is on its 3rd year of highlighting Spanish culture in the Philippines. -Fiesta! coincides with the celebration of Spanish Day held on Oct. 12.

"We have put a lot of effort and a lot of love in this project," said Spain's Ambassador to the Philippines Ignacio Sagaz during cocktails held to announce the festival's lineup. "If this were a delicatessen, there are several gourmet dishes in store for us all in Manila."

While part of -Fiesta!'s objectives is to "offer a global vision of the Spanish culture to the Filipino public," cultural exchange is still at the heart of the festival.
