Aline Bertha Ard, 72, Bradenton, died Sept. 26, 2003.
She was born June 5, 1931, in Whitley City, Ky., and came to Bradenton in 1975 from Tampa. She was a sales clerk for Eckerd Corp. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bradenton.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly D. Merz of Bradenton; a son, Gordon T. of Ferguson, Ky.; and one grandchild.
The memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Bradenton. Interment will be in Somerset, Ky. The Good Earth Crematory is in charge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
Dorothy Elizabeth Day
Dorothy Elizabeth Day, 81, Bradenton, died Sept. 27, 2003.
She was born March 31, 1922, in Allenhurst, N.J., and came to Bradenton in 1986 from Belmar, N.J. She retired after 20 years as a schoolteacher from Manasquan Elementary in Manasquan, N.J. She was the former vice president of the board of directors of Golf Lakes Mobile Estates.
She was a graduate of the New Jersey College for Women (now Rutgers University) in New Brunswick, N.J., and the Guggenheim School of Engineering at New York University. She was a Chance Vaught Scholar for Aerodynamics. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Thomas; daughters Eileen Day Cytryn of Fairfax, Va., Kathleen of Neptune, N.J., and…
