DAVAO CITY, Oct 1 Asia Pulse - The picture of economic uncertainty has generally slowed down loan performance in banks, a bank executive said.
Lorna Lao, president of the Davao City Bankers Association, said however that banks are trying their best to level off in the wake of a sluggish economy.
She said banks have become less aggressive this time in terms of their loan performance, saying that banks are cautious in granting loans when business is generally slowing down.
"Banks have at least 70 per cent retention in terms of loan performance," Lao said, clarifying that the economic slowdown is a global problem.
