SYDNEY, Oct 1 Asia Pulse - A new era for the Hyundai brand in Australia has begun with the Korean car manufacturer taking over its local distributor.
Hyundai Motor Co (HMC) today finalised its purchase of Cycle & Carriage Ltd's (C&C) Hyundai Automotive Distributors Australia Pty Ltd (HADA) wholesale vehicle distribution business.
A new entity, Hyundai Motor Company Australia Pty Ltd (HMCA), will take over from HADA in the importing and wholesaling of the manufacturer's range currently marketed in Australia.
"The establishment of HMCA signals a new era for the Hyundai automotive brand in Australia, with the manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company now directly involved in this very important, intensely competitive market," new HMCA chief executive officer, Bong Gou Lee, said today.
