MUMBAI, Oct 1 Asia Pulse - Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) in India netted purchases in equities at Rs 5805 million (US$126.4 million) and Rs 2153 million (US$42.7 million) in the debt market during the trading week ended September 26.
Mutual funds (MFs) also recorded net inflows in equities and debt at Rs 695.1 million and Rs 3551.1 million respectively in the period under review, according to data available with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
FIIs were net buyers in equity market on four trading days while netting outflows of Rs 1085 million (US$23.6 millionn) on September 24. The foreign funds recorded their highest net buys in the week at Rs 4024 million (US$87.6 million) on September 25 followed by Rs 1573 million (US$34.2 million) on September 23.
