ISLAMABAD, Oct 1 Asia Pulse - A landmark agreement between Pakistan, China, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan over traffic in transit will be effective from today, Oct. 1.
The agreement was signed in 1995, but its implementation was delayed due to differences which have been resolved during the recent conference of Economic Co-operation Organisation (ECO) held in Islamabad to give a boost to regional trade.
The four countries have agreed to adopt multi-modal transport regime and each country will issue 200 hundred permits each month to their registered vehicles carry goods through the respective countries, according to the information receive here.
