THE SERIES of daring robberies in the metropolis has alarmed the National Capital Region Police Office. And if this rash of crimes continues, heads will surely roll.
In a statement, NCRPO Director Reynaldo Velasco ordered police officials in Metro Manila to tighten security in their respective areas and set up additional checkpoints to abate crimes.
And if police officials fail to comply, Regional Directorial Staff chief Ernesto Belen said "they will be axed from their posts."
In a memorandum, Velasco ordered police officials to establish additional checkpoints and submit reports on an hourly basis.
