TRUE love waits.
Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines secretary general Hernando Coronel yesterday used this adage in renewing the Church's reminder to the faithful that sex is for procreation and should be done only within marriage.
Coronel warned that succumbing to the temptation of premarital or extramarital sex had consequences.
Those who acquire a sexually transmitted infection (STI) as a result of the act must be responsible enough to seek therapy, after which they must "confess and sin no more," he said.
But for those who persist in seeking sexual pleasure outside marriage and in doing so using contraceptives such as condoms and pills, which the Church also disapproves of, Coronel said: "It's a personal choice to choose evil."
