By Koh Byung-joon The amount of public funds injected into unhealthy local companies totaled 161 trillion won ($140 billion) as of August and of that amount about 60 trillion won has been recovered, the Ministry of Finance and Economy said yesterday.

As a result, the ratio of public funds that has been retrieved improved to 37.3 percent, a 0.8 percentage point increase from a month earlier, the Ministry noted.
