ONDO State Government yesterday ordered the re-opening of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic in Owo which was shut, following students' protest against the change in the name of the institution.

The Information, Sports, Culture and Tourism Commissioner, Mrs Tola Aworh told newsmen in Akure that the state executive council members have directed that the institution re-opens on Monday September 29, this year.

Mrs Aworh pointed out that the students are now sober and realised their mistake having lost many academic weeks and are expected to settle down to serious business.
