Asda to reduce UK fuel prices despite OPEC cut.

LONDON: Wal-Mart's Asda supermarket chain will on Saturday cut petrol and diesel prices at its UK forecourts by one pence a litre in response to a recent weakening of the dollar against sterling and despite rising oil prices this week after OPEC's decision to cut production, Asda said on Friday.

The fuel price cut will take pump prices at Asda's 152 UK service stations to 73.2 pence a litre for premium unleaded petrol and 74.3 pence a litre for diesel.
