Xavier Argente, general manager of Spanish supermarket group Caprabo, says that the acquisition - finalised this week - of rival Alcosto will give the group national status. The integration process is due to be completed by the beginning of 2004, with the 66 new stores in Madrid and Castilla-La Mancha operating under the Caprabo name.
