B.R. Shetty, the newly-appointed Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Cricket Control Board, ADCCB, is a man on a mission.

His task: to raise Dh 40 million to complete the construction of the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.

Despite the enormity of the task, Shetty has expressed confidence that the money will be raised and the ultra-modern stadium completed at the earliest.

"Work has restarted in the stadium and I am presently talking with a few banks to raise a commercial loan for the project," Shetty, whose personal guarantee has rekindled the work, told reporters on Tuesday. …
