FEAST OF FASHION: WHO, WHAT, WEAR

Whether it is opera or fashion, Wellington soprano Margaret Medlyn brings her own theatricality and flair to whatever project she undertakes. By Carolyn Enting.

--------------------

MARGARET Medlyn is set to take centre stage in Wellington next week in the title role of the Italian opera Tosca, which opens at the Westpac St James Theatre on September 25.

The opera is set in 1940s Italy during Mussolini's reign, so Medlyn will be donning a trenchcoat, court shoes and a pillbox hat, the latter picked up in a junk shop.
