THE recent weather has made it feel more like monsoon time than the beginning of spring.
But despite the bucketing downpours, the annual reappearance of pink in all its hues is a reminder that we have entered the season of fluffy lambs and blooming daffodils.
Pink has blossomed more profusely than usual this year - a trip through the central city is a rosy experience. And while there are those who believe it's a colour that should never be seen on anyone over the age of six, pink can lift the spirits in a way that few shades can. Think candyfloss, babies' toes, sunsets . . .
