SARASOTA -- Justin Hamilton will move one step closer to realizing his boyhood dream when he reports to the Detroit Pistons for preseason camp this week.

The former Booker High Class 4A Player of The Year, who finished his career with the University of Florida this past season, signed a standard rookie minimum free-agent contract with the Pistons. He played for Detroit during the summer league and made a favorable impression on head coach Larry Brown.

Scott Perry, Pistons Director of Player Personnel, said Hamilton would be one of about seven guards Detroit expects to have in camp during the preseason. The squad …
