Half-Life 2 By Valve
SOFTIMAGEJXSI was used exclusively by Valve Software to create all the characters, models and props for the new game Half-Life 2.
"We started work on Half-Life 2 with the goal of once again leap-frogging the state-of-the-art technology in game play and character creation. Half-way through, we realized we could not achieve our goal with our existing content pipeline and therefore made the unusual move of switching mid-production to SOFTIMAGEIXSI," said Doug Lombardi. Valve's Director of Marketing. "That investment has paid for itself many times over as Half-Life 2 promises to be as much of a leap forward as the original Half-Life was 5 years ago. We could not have done it without SOFTIMAGEIXSI."
Spy-Kids 3D by Hybride
"The experience we had with Spy Kids 2, which involved 650 VFX shots, was so positive that there was never any doubt in our minds that XSI was the tool of choice for handling even bigger and more challenging projects.
'Spy Kids 3D' is much more demanding than its predecessor, from both a graphical and project management point of view. We're now several months into production on Spy Kids 3 and we're on target!
From a productivity and creative perspective, SOFTIMAGEIXSI and Batch continue to beat everything else we've seen or used hands down."
