Parliament Extends State of Emergency in Dagbon.

Parliament yesterday voted 146-0 with no abstentions to extend the state of emergency in the Dagbon traditional area by another month.

The proceedings started at about 1pm instead of 10am due to consultations between the majority and minority sides, which finally made the adoption of the resolution, possible. The Minister of the Interior, Mr. Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, moved the motion for the adoption of the resolution and Mr. Darko Mensah (NPP Okaikoi North) seconded the motion.
