* '01-02 Chrysler PT Cruiser
In a rollover crash, the fuel-pump mounting flange on certain '01 and '02 models could leak and cause a fire. On some '01 models, the fuel hose could chafe against air-conditioner components; resulting fuel leakage could cause a fire.
Models: 345,436 vehicles made 10/99 to 6/02 may have a problem with the fuel-pump-module mounting flange; 97,779 vehicles made 5/00 to 1/01 may have a fuel hose that could leak.
What to do: Have dealer make appropriate repairs: Install secondary seal over fuel-pump module; install clip to keep hose away from air-conditioner components, and, if signs of wear are observed, replace fuel hose.
* Continental ContiTrac AW and General Grabber AW tires
Tread could separate from tire, causing driver to lose control of vehicle and possibly crash.
Products: 596,610 tires, size P275/60R17, made 3/99 to 10/00 and sold aftermarket or as original equipment on 2-wheel-drive versions of '00-01 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. Suspect tires bear DOT code (a sequence of numbers on the sidewall that identifies the manufacturing plant and production date) ending in 109 through 4400. The numbers at the end of the code represent the week and year that the tires were made. For instance, "109" indicates the tires were made during the 10th week of 1999, while "4400" means they were manufactured during the 44th week of 2000.
