The Executive Board of the Music OCLC Users Group (MOUG).(Brief Article)
The Executive Board of the Music OCLC Users Group (MOUG) is honored to name Judy A. Weidow as the second recipient of MOUG's Distinguished Service Award. This award has been established to recognize and honor a librarian who has made significant professional contributions to music users of OCLC. The MOUG Executive Board selects a recipient based on nominations received from the MOUG membership. Those who presented Judy's name in nomination called her "a quiet but persistent supporter of MOUG since its inception" and cited particularly her contributions as editor of The Best of MOUG from the 3d edition, published in 1989, through the currently available 7th edition. Another nominator characterized this book as "an invaluable resource" for determining uniform titles for prolific composers.
