ZAGREB, Sept 16 (ONASA/AFP) - A Croatian journalist who recently interviewed fugitive Croatian General Ante Gotovina, wanted by the UN war crimes tribunal, said Tuesday that the former French legionnaire has been hiding somewhere in the European Union. The journalist told his paper Nacional weekly that he had met with Gotovina in a hotel in "one of the capitals of the European Union" where he conducted the interview published in June. "I am certain that Gotovina did not return to Croatia after meeting me," Ivo Pukanic said.
