Sources inform "Globes" that Henkel-Soad, Henkel's Israeli subsidiary, is joining the bidding for the Biomat brand of laundry detergent from Unilever Israel.

As reported in "Globes", Procter and Gamble Israel has been in advanced negotiations to acquire Biomat, after Unilever Israel decided to quit the laundry detergent business. Unilever Israel's decision was influenced by the heavy losses in the Israeli laundry detergent sector, caused by frequent price reductions by Procter and Gamble Israel, which markets the Ariel and Tide brands in Israel.
