Cypriot parliament Speaker arrives in Tehran.

Tehran, 15 September: Cypriot Parliament Speaker Dhimitrios Khristofias arrived in Tehran on Monday [15 September] on a four-day official visit.

On hand to officially welcome the Cypriot Speaker was his Iranian counterpart Mehdi Karrubi. The MP from Tehran Ahmad Burghani and Cypriot Ambassador to Tehran Stavros Loizedes also attended the ceremony. During his stay here, Khristofias is expected to meet with Karrubi, President Mohammad Khatami and Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi on expansion of bilateral ties.
