The tenth ordinary session of the council of ministers of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central African States (CEMAC) took place on 28 August in Bangui at the CEMAC conference hall under the chairmanship of His Excellency, Pierre Moussa, Congolese minister for planning, territorial development and regional integration. The preparatory works of the inter-state committee preceded the council on 26 and 27 August 2003. The list of the participating ministers is attached to this final communique.

In his speech, the chairman of the council welcomed, on behalf of the president of the Central African Republic and of the current chairman of the community, the government and people of the CAR, all his counterparts in the sub-region as well as the officials of the specialized institutions and organizations in the community.

He urged the members of the CEMAC executive secretariat to work hard for the reinforcement of the new dynamic and the governments of the member states of the community to persevere in the way of reforms, …
