MALAYSIA'S AUTOINDUSTRIES POSTS LOWER GROUP TURNOVER IN Q2.
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 1 Asia Pulse - Autoindustries Ventures Berhad (KLSE:AIVB) has posted group turnover of RM18.37 million (US$4.8 million) for the second quarter ended 30 June 2003, a fall of 27.26 per cent from the same period last year.
In a statement, it said the lower turnover was mainly due to a decline in demand from customers, especially Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Berhad.
The group recorded a loss before taxation and minority interest of RM530,000 for the current quarter against a profit before taxation and minority interest of RM1.4 million in the same period last year.
