TAIPEI, Sept 1 Asia Pulse - Two family members of victims of the 2002 air crash of a China Airlines (CAL) plane filed a suit for damages against the airplane's United States builder, Boeing, in a Los Angeles court.
Attorney Steven Archer said his two Taiwan clients, Chung Chi-hua and Chung Yen-hua, are seeking reasonable compensation from Boeing on grounds that it failed to duly supervise the maintenance of a Boeing 747-200 it sold to CAL in 1979 which lead to its crash in the ocean on May 25, 2002 on its way from Taipei to Hong Kong, killing all 225 on board.
