SAN DIEGO, Calif., Aug 30 PRNewswire-FirstCall-AsiaNet - Gen-Probe Incorporated (Nasdaq: GPRO) today announced that it has filed a Form S-3 shelf registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Upon being declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the shelf registration statement will allow Gen-Probe to sell from time to time various types of debt or equity securities, up to an aggregate of $150 million. The terms of any offering and the type of debt or equity securities involved will be established at the time of sale.
A written prospectus, when available, meeting the requirements of Section 10 of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, may be obtained from Gen-Probe at 10210 Genetic Center Drive, San Diego, California 92121, Attention: General Counsel.
The shelf registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective.
