SEOUL, Sept 1 Asia Pulse - The nation's five leading business organizations said they would jointly discuss follow-up steps to cope with the recently-approved five-day workweek system and other pending economic issues.
According to the Korean Employers Federation (KEF), the groups will release a statement after the talks describing their stance on the system's implementation and ways of reinvigorating the economy.
"In particular, the meeting will urge the government and labor circles to map out ways to help businesses cope with weakening competitiveness from the introduction of the shorter workweek," said an official of the KEF, which is hosting the talks.
