Anyone who has watched Brett Favre closely and believes he should consider retirement must have a cheesehead over his eyes. In Favre, we are witnessing one of the best players of all time at any position near the pinnacle of his game.

His bullet throws cut through the retirement talk. At 33, the quarterback of the Packers still gets more velocity on his passes than anyone in the known universe. Receiver Robert Ferguson knows. His finger was broken by a Favre pass last December.

"It's hard to say he's throwing the ball better than I've ever seen him," says Packers coach Mike Sherman, "but he's throwing the ball pretty darn good right now."
