LOCAL carrier Globe Telecom has bowed down to consumer pressure when it silently "unblocked" access to some wireless application protocol (WAP) sites outside of company's "myGlobe" portal.
In an interview, a Globe spokesperson confirmed that the operator has unblocked access to some WAP sites, such as Yahoo! and INQ7.net, as well as other sites as part of "rationalization efforts" of the carrier's network.
