The Wireless Group says it will sue Rajar within the "next week", claiming it has delayed for too long the introduction of electronic audience measurement for radio.

A deadline set by TWG chief executive Kelvin MacKenzie to come up with details about why its recent test of electronic measurement led to its decision to delay its introduction is due to pass tonight (Thursday).

Rajar said it will contest any action, but had yet to receive any formal notice of legal proceedings.

A favourable court decision could see TWG claim damages running into many millions for lost advertising revenue, even …
