Visioneer Announces Certification of Patriot 470 Scanner on Kofax Document Scan Server.

PLEASANTON, Calif. -- Visioneer, Inc., a leader in intelligent imaging solutions, today announced that its Patriot 470 scanner has been certified on Kofax's Document Scan Server and will be giving demonstrations of the new solution at the ECM West Conference and Expo at its booth #516, November 6-8, 2006, in San Jose, CA.

The Visioneer Patriot 470 workgroup scanner was certified by Kofax for support by the Document Scan Server, which allows organizations to digitally capture documents at the point of entry into their business process.

Previously, a solution of this kind required specialized software and drivers to be installed on each computer. This method commonly leads to increased administrative costs because IT staff must set up administrative rights, train workers on the new software application and perform timely remote updates and troubleshooting.
